She is one of the most important poetic voices in Latin America. In 1990, she won the National Poetry Prize. She has published several poems such as "Caymándote” (1990),"Tatuaje de Selva" (1992), "Loba Triste” (2000),"Antología" (2005) and "Geografías Torturadas” (2013). Her literary works have also been part of international anthologies such as the International Poetry Review (1994); Alforja Magazine, Mexico (2002); Mujeres poetas en el país de las nubes, Vitzu Collection, Mexico (2003), among others. She has offered poetry recitals in Spain, Switzerland, Cuba, Chile and Argentina. She was a special guest to celebrate the centenary of the New York Public Library.
